Aesthetics is a science formed to correctly understand beauty. The origin of this science is in humans’ quest for beauty and what humanity has gained from change in views about this branch of knowledge is the variety of arts styles, philosophical views, geometric patterns and other human tastes. The Holy Quran and Hadiths of the Infallible (AS), as the main Islamic sources, have presented a complete framework for comprehending the nature of aesthetics. This framework has led to the creation of outstanding works of Islamic art. Hence, this research investigates the framework of aesthetics in view of the Quran and Hadiths. It first tries to reflect the nature of aesthetics from the Quranic viewpoint and based on that offer a general framework for comprehending beauty. To that aim, content analysis has been used for presenting the framework. The results of the research showed that the Quran’s aesthetic pattern has a hierarchical nature which begins with objective beauties, goes on to objective-subjective beauties and finally reaches subjective beauties.
<fullTextUrl>http://jiqs.ir/Article/36944</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Nature of Beauty

Given the prevalence of this view, the current research aims to consider how this notion is described in the Quran? The procedure in this work is descriptive (we collect data and information) on the basis of analyzing the concepts). We make an asymmetric comparison between Quran and the psychological data. The base of our work is considering keywords related to the subject. We collected information in libraries and used reliable sources like Quran interpretations and Hadiths. The findings showed that, from the point of view of the Quran, cognition is one of the major issues in anthropology and there are different words for describing it (such as Hikmat, Fiqh, Fikr, Nazar, Tadabbur, and so on). From the psychological viewpoint, self-analysis and knowing about our environment is enough, but in view of the Quran, this cognition is meaningful only in relation between humans and God, and the concept of logical and illogical thinking becomes clear only within the system of Tawhid (monotheism). Belief in Tawhid is right and logical and lack of belief in it results in psychological disorders.
<fullTextUrl>http://jiqs.ir/Article/36947</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Cognition

This research investigates the relationship of hope, happiness and religiosity with spiritual well-being. The statistical population includes all Quran teachers of Varamin suburbs. For this research, 120 teachers were selected using random sampling. All of them completed the questionnaires of hope (Snyder et al, 1991), happiness (Argyle and Luo, 1990), religiosity orientation (Allport and Ross, 1967), and spiritual well-being (Paloutzin and Ellison, 1982). The data collected was analyzed through step wise regression method. The findings showed a positive and significant relationship between hope, happiness and internal religious orientations with spiritual well-being. Internal religious orientations, happiness and hope in one predicted model predicted 39 percent of variance of spiritual well-being. In order to increase spiritual well-being, teaching internal religious orientations should be given first priority. Then the priority goes to teaching happiness and then hope.
<fullTextUrl>http://jiqs.ir/Article/36948</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Hope

In Iran, along with the rapid changes in the lives of people and fading religious beliefs, this phenomenon is increasing; because, according to research conducted around the world, there is close relationship between lack of religious beliefs and suicide and that is why the rate of suicide is very low in Muslim countries. Based on the Islamic view, life is considered a trust from God to men and he has partial, not complete, ownership over his body and, therefore, cannot commit suicide end his life because it belongs to absolute owner (God). Moreover, no one else is permitted to end another person’s life even if he has a terminal illness. Thus, the aim of this study is to review the issue from the perspective of Islam, and introduce ways to improve life and prevent suicide. The findings of this library-based study showed that suicide in the Quran and the word of the Infallible Imams is a grave sin which leads to eternal torment. They also suggested that strengthening the religious beliefs and, especially promotion of the Quranic teachings on the sanctity of life, in addition to improving economic and sociological conditions can help to reduce the rate of suicide in society.
<fullTextUrl>http://jiqs.ir/Article/36949</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Religion
